Gonna Give this a Shot

I have always loved writing…. Unfortunately, it hasn’t always loved me back.

I spend my days writing. Emails. Proposals. Memos. Texts. Nameless missives that go into a professional void and help the business move forward without really doing anything for me.

It’s my job. It’s a living. Hell… it’s a GOOD living.

However, I have always wanted something more from writing. I have, at various points, written prose and poetry, trying to get things published.

I succeeded once and, as the odds went longer and longer, I drifted from it.

Then….

I came to Mastodon, saw a bunch of accounts linking to Substack, and thought, I might as well give this a shot. Even if it doesn’t work…it can be an outlet.
